Olive oil tourism
Boasting more than seven centuries of tradition, Son Moragues and its mountain olive groves play a key role in the history of Mallorca’s olive culture.
What does the experience consist of?
A tasting of various extra virgin olive oils in the expert company of our guide and sommelier. This will equip you with all you need to know to enjoy and evaluate this marvel of Mediterranean cuisine.
A delicious traditional Mallorcan bite to eat in the olive grove with our extra virgin olive oils and our organic products, together with other local delicacies.
There will also be a guided stroll among the olive trees, which form one of the oldest and most beautiful groves on the island, where you learn about the history and culture of olive oil production in the Serra de Tramuntana.
Food and landscapes
We offer custom guided tastings and walks around the Son Moragues Estate to make you discover the origin of food in the Serra de Tramuntana.
What does the experience consist of?
We invite nature-lovers to savour our organic foods and discover the magnificent landscape that produces them, combining our traditional repasts and product tastings with walks around our own and neighbouring estates in the Valldemossa district.
“Montanya del Voltor” is a pioneering land custodianship project in Mallorca founded by four estates in the Valldemossa district: Can Costa, Son Gual, Son Gual Petit and of course our own, Son Moragues. Together we are committed to the conservation of our natural environment and to keeping alive the legacy of the ancient settlers of these mountains, including traditional agricultural production methods and local crops.
