Our organic extra virgin Son Moragues olive oil is a limited edition, created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Archduke Luis Salvador, responsible for the medal awarded to Son Moragues’ olive oil in the Barcelona World Fair of 1888.
An organic extra virgin olive oil, made from the mallorquina variety and bearing the Oli de Mallorca protected designation of origin hallmark. Soft green in colour with the moderate fruit flavour of green olives. Full-bodied with a distinct personality, in the mouth it is slightly spicy, with medium bitterness and a lingering taste of almonds.
The same olives are used as for whole green olives, but in this case fennel and chilli is added to the brine and the olives flesh is broken to increase the absorption of the flavours.
An olive of the mallorquina variety, made exclusively with a salt and water brine. In the mouth, these olives are intense but balanced, with a characteristically astringent flavour.
